AGUA DULCE POOLS is owned and operated by one person, Chris Alvarez.  Because of that, you can rest assured that Chris has the interests of each customer in mind throughout the entire business process. 

Chris started his business in 2000 servicing and maintaining swimming pools and quickly grew to over 200 monthly service customers by 2003.  This could only be  accomplished by his great comprehension of swimming pool systems, pool chemicals and great customer care.  "Sometimes I would stand by the pool side observing a pool cleaner for an hour because it was always getting stuck, the same would go for any other type of swimming pool equipment".  And because of spending countless hours  troubleshooting and training by the manufacturer, Chris has built a great understanding of a swimming pool's functionality.  In mid-2003 he opened a retail store in "Old Town" Keller, Texas to share his understanding with others  as well.

As Chris became more familiar with swimming pools and their equipment, he began to notice problems on newer pools built by very large and reputable companies.  Design flaws, wrong pool cleaner type, filtration problems, ETC. were just a few examples, but these problems began from the design process to the construction phase of a swimming pool.  The problem being that the designer and super intendant, more than likely, didn't have any hands on experience with problematic swimnming pools.  Sure, you can be trained by the manufacturer and be qualified and understand their products, but does that help understand how a swimming pool works?  If you listen to automobile manufacturers advertising their products, they always say their cars perform better because of what they've learned from the race track.  In other words,  Design is always important, but what's inside is what gives you that driving experience and that comes from hands on experience.  Does a car desingner know what makes a car handle better, or what makes more horsepower?

During his time as a swimming pool service and swimming pool repair company, he also engaged in remodel projects to not only enhance the swimming pools' functionality but it's performance as well.  Like taking a street car and turning it into a really sharp race car, he used his experience and creativity to take an exsisting pool that has always been troublesome and turned it into a low mainteneance paradise.  By doing this, he also established relations with some of the best and most highly skilled construction crews in Dallas, Texas and North Tarrant County.

With all this in mind, Chris decided to put his knowledge and commitment to quality and craftmanship into action.  In 2003, with the opening of his showroom in Keller, Texas, he began building swimming pools.  Now AGUA DULCE POOLS builds 20 to 30 swimming pools a year in North Texas including: Keller, Southlake, Fort Worth, Grapevine, Colleyville, Roanoke, Flower Mound, Coppell, and we've now expanded into Dallas.

20 to 30 swimming pools a year?  that's not like the competition who builds from 150 to 400 pools a year!  Remember, Chris is a hands-on person, he wants to maintain constant contact with the customer to understand exactly what they want and make it a reality.  Chris feels that anymore than 30 would jeapordize that relationship.
